Distribution Center Maintenance Technician

JobSummary As a MaintenanceMechanic, you’ll be responsible for maintaining all manufacturingequipment in the facility. This is a skilled trade mechanicposition and you’ll be expected to ensure the manufacturingprocesses are always operational and meet all safety, plant andcorporate objectives. Provide multi-disciplined capability introubleshooting, diagnose and repair malfunctions on a wide varietyof complex, electro-mechanical equipment (mechanical, pipe,pneumatic and hydraulic). Perform maintenancetasks to ensure compliance with quality and GMP requirements; Always adhere to all food safety, equipment safety, and quality andGMP requirements. Interface as needed withoutside vendorsAssist in the development andrecommend updates as needed for maintenance procedures and bestmethods. Provide communication to all TeamMembers as appropriate by following proper escalationprocedures. Perform preventive maintenancetasks for equipment and facility in accordance with manufacturer'sand/or engineering guidelines. Interprettechnical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer'sdocumentation. Recommend methods or trainingto continuously improve maintenanceperformance. Availability to work all shifts,weekends, overtime and holidays as business needsrequire. Maintain a sanitary, safe and cleanwork area. Provide feedback in review ofproposed equipment purchases. Perform routineand preventative maintenance on mechanical, piping, pneumatic,hydraulic, etc. manufacturing equipment.Maintenance and repair of all food manufacturing equipment,including but not limited to: motors, chilled water systems,automated slicing machines, metal detectors, commercial soupskettles, form fillers, conveyors, assembly wheels, heat tunnels,laser jet _printers, various pumps and productionequipmentPerform minor HVAC troubleshootingand repairs. Perform minor refrigeration(ammonia refrigerant) equipment inspections.Repair, maintain and provide Preventative Maintenance for RetailSupport Center (RSC) Material HandlingEquipment. Follow all department proceduresincluding completion of necessary forms and dataentry. Follow safety rules andprocedures. Correct unsafe or unsanitaryworking conditions.
