IT Security Specialist II

The Cloud Security Architect will lead the strategy, security control & capabilities definition, design and implementation support throughout all CLIENT cloud environments including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Amazon Web Services, MuleSoft and Salesforce.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the development, communication and implementation of a technology agnostic cloud security architecture framework that aligns with HITRUST
• Author and maintain security reference architecture and standards for all CLIENT cloud environments
• Act as the CLIENT IaaS/PaaS/SaaS security SME by leading and communicating the vision on how to best secure these environments, and providing project consulting where needed
• Support the re-engineering of core security capabilities in the cloud, using cloud-native approaches
• Collaborate with other Security, Enterprise Architecture and technology teams
• Identify applicable security requirements based on CLIENT and subsidiary lines of business Provide support for architecture discipline as defined by departmental requirements. Provide overall direction, guidance, definition and facilitation for the development of architecture required to meet business strategies and goals. Identify, support, and analyze the enterprise's business drivers, IT strategies, and current IT environment and recommend solutions to improve, develop, and align IT to the business. Work as a lead or internal consultant on complex domain activities and/or projects/programs that require in-depth technical of one or more specific architecture discipline area, such as security, information/data, or solution.
• Analyze information to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, determine accuracy of reports and monitor the efficiency and security of operations.
• Participate in the IT Architecture and domain's architecture governance process.
• Support the development of architectural models or views. Identify opportunities for reuse.
• Verify compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure, services, and strategic requirements. Participate in quality reviews and provide feedback. Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities. Work with project teams to understand business requirements and help them understand how technology tradeoffs influence strategy. Sell the architecture process. Keep IT technology and delivery managers aware of key customer issues, identifying and resolving potential problems and conflicts. Coordinate architecture implementation and modification activities.
• Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends and identify tools to assist in project/program development and/or operational support activities. Identify changes that impact strategic business direction.
• Develop, motivate, and mentor IT team members to create a team environment.

• Work closely with other functional area architects and security specialists to ensure appropriate security solutions are in place throughout all IT systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives, regulatory requirements, and domain and industry best practices.
• Assist in the development of the business, information and technical artifacts that constitute the enterprise information security architecture and solutions.
• Support research requests new technologies and architectures.
• Analyze business and systems impacts, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks.

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience – The most important must-have skills. Include:

1. 3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services platforms in a DevOps, DevSecOps or security architecture/operations role. Certifications preferred.
2. 5 years of experience in an enterprise security architecture role; 8+ years overall security experience. CISSP certified.
3. Experience with securing Saleforce.com, Mulesoft, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
• Five (5) years of experience in multiple IT areas (data, network, application, systems, etc.) required
• Requires advanced level knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, systems engineering, and integration
