Sales Engineer - 3002Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will need the ability to develop strategic plans and accurate forecasts for accounts, communicate well with others internally and externally, and be able to resolve unique customer issues proactively, ability to develop new accounts, provide DXP monthly reports for each key account highlighting any changes, service problems, challenges from competition, customer projects and initiatives, and cost savings reports.Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer include, but are not limited to:Ability to develop strategic plans and accurate forecasts of businessProvide a high level of communication, follow through, and be able to resolve unique customer issues proactivelyAbility to develop new accounts and relationshipsAbility to grow and maintain existing accounts with key decision makersStrong process discipline, be able to provide monthly reports and updates for key accounts, highlighting changes, service problems, challenges from competition, customer projects and initiativesCommunicate technical metal working cost saving solutionsLearn vendor products and how to applyQualifications of the Sales Engineer include, but are not limited to:Must have customer-service oriented mentalityComputer literateOrganized and detail oriented with a high level of attention to detail and accuracyExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience generating proposals and solutionsGood analytical and problem solving skillsSelf-starter and demonstrate ability to work productively with minimal supervisionExperience maintaining strong long-term relationshipsBe able to read part prints and tolerancesAbility to calculate cutting parametersUnderstand a variety of materialsAcceptable driving record required according to company guidelinesPay Range: $45,000 - $75,000 per year + commission (DOE)Physical Demand: Ability to stand for long periods of time and work within a manufacturing settingWorking Conditions: Office and manufacturing environmentTraining/Certifications: N/AShift Time: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pmTravel: Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelinesEducation: 2 Years of Metal Working or Machine Shop Experience preferredLocation: USA:IL:AddisonDXP offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time regular employees, normally working a minimum of 30 hours per week, including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, paid holidays, life and disability insurance, and additional supplemental benefits.
