Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with Siemens equipment experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a community hospital setting.

Details

• MRI Technologist role within a hospital MRI unit
• Adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/Trauma work settings
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other Saturday and Sunday required
• 60-minute meal break
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:1.5
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment
• Epic charting system experience required
• Rare potential to float between facilities within the health system if requested

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program with diploma or certificate of completion
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, or certification eligible
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year of direct MRI experience
• Illinois license required if applicable, must be in hand at time of consideration (no emergency or pending licenses accepted)
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• BSN required
• Skills checklist and 2 professional references required for consideration, with one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge RN within the last year
• Experience with contrast media preparation/administration and starting peripheral IVs preferred
• Proficiency in abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MRI procedures

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of MRI procedures including MRA, MRV, MRCP, cardiac MRI, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Utilize special imaging techniques such as diffusion studies, MIP, multiplanar reconstruction, and perfusion imaging
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols during patient care
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration and cannot be added afterward
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Employment history must include Northwestern Medicine and any acquired facilities, if applicable
• Non-licensed direct patient caregivers not listed as eligible in the IL Healthcare Worker Registry may need to complete in-person fingerprinting in Illinois prior to starting
