Per Diem PACU/ Operating Room RN – Ophthalmology

Location: St. Michael's Surgery Center | 1018 West Bay Drive, Largo, FL Job Type: Per Diem / PRN

We are looking for an experienced OR Nurse [or Surgical Tech] to join St. Michael's Surgery Center in Largo on a per diem basis.

The Role

Circulate [or scrub] for a variety of ophthalmic procedures, including complex cataracts, corneal transplants, eye shunt implants, and retinal surgeries.

Maintain a sterile, safe, and efficient environment in the OR.

Assist with pre-op and PACU flow, including patient assessment and discharge.

Work closely with our surgeons and dedicated clinical team to keep the surgical day moving safely.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery Center experience. (Ophthalmology experience is preferred, but we are happy to train someone with strong OR fundamentals).

Active, unencumbered FL RN license

Current BLS and ACLS.

Strong pacing—you need to be comfortable in a fast-turnaround environment and work well as part of a close-knit team.
