Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tacoma, WA. Provide skilled inpatient rehabilitation care to adults and older adults recovering from neurologic and other complex diagnoses. This role supports a 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital focused on recovery following severe injury or illness. Candidates will work within an interdisciplinary therapy department to deliver patient-centered care and functional outcomes.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active Washington state Occupational Therapy license required to start assignment.
Experience in inpatient rehabilitation required. Experience treating adult and older adult populations preferred.
Demonstrated experience with common inpatient rehab diagnoses, including stroke (CVA) and neurologic conditions preferred.
Ability to manage an average caseload consistent with inpatient rehab productivity expectations (approximately 6–7 treatments per 8-hour day).
BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation hospital preferred.
Familiarity with inpatient acute rehab documentation and EHR workflows preferred.
Comfort with interdisciplinary team-based care and discharge planning preferred.

Assignment Details
Shift hours: 08:00–16:00 (typical schedule aligns with 7:00–16:00 or 8:00–16:30 flexibility described on site).
Workweek: Monday–Friday primary schedule with one weekend day per month and one compensatory day during the week.
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Patient population: adult and older adult inpatient rehabilitation.
Unit profile: 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital. Typical productivity ~6.5 treatments per 8-hour day.
