Maintenance Supervisor Full Time Management Washington, MO, US 5 days ago Requisition ID: 1803 Reports to: Operations Manager Supervises: Maintenance Staff (8-10 Employees) Location: Onsite in Washington, MO Hours: Monday- Friday - Typically Day Shift. On-call and availability on evenings and weekends when necessary. FLSA: Exempt General Overview The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all facility maintenance related to safety, function, and quality. Duties and Responsibilities Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Develops maintenance procedures and schedules. Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects. Schedule and prioritize maintenance projects to be completed on a daily basis. Communicate as needed with outside vendors for tooling, spare parts, repairs and equipment installations. Manage the Preventive Maintenance Program to Increase output and lower overall production costs (reduce down time and make educated decisions on machine replacements). Maintain Environmental Health and Safety compliance procedures and support monitoring as defined. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High school diploma; technical degree preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in maintenance or a related field, with at least three years supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and practices, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Ability to navigate employee issues while maintaining a positive work environment. Ability to adapt and change as business needs change daily. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate reliability and dependability as it relates to responsibilities with the buildings, equipment, vehicles, and materials. Working Conditions General distribution center and manufacturing working conditions. Climate controlled environment. Safety Hazards Exposure to dust, air borne fibers, fumes, dirt, noise, vibrations, chemicals, and solvents. 5% of the work is performed outside in extreme temperatures ranging from hot and humid to snow and freezing. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves are required while performing certain tasks. Some of the work is performed in an office environment. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
