Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a Senior SDET / Senior Test Automation Engineer who combines strong hands-on automation expertise with software development skills. Candidates should have deep experience with Playwright, TypeScript, Java, API automation, microservices, SQL, CI/CD, and distributed systems , along with the ability to lead testing initiatives and mentor other engineers.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior SDET with strong Playwright expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java-based application development, test automation, API testing, and microservices architectures.

This role combines software development and quality engineering responsibilities. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks, validate complex distributed systems, and provide technical leadership across the engineering team.

The position is remote , with an expectation that the candidate will participate in PI (Program Increment) Planning as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience .
• At least 5 years of experience in manual and automated testing of enterprise applications .
• Strong hands-on experience with UI and API automation testing .
• Expert-level experience with Playwright .
• Strong proficiency in Java and TypeScript .
• Experience testing microservices-based architectures .
• Strong SQL skills with experience validating relational and NoSQL databases .
• Experience working in Agile development environments .
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and effectively collaborate with distributed engineering teams.

Other Qualifications

• Experience testing complex workflow-driven or operational systems, particularly in:
  • Logistics
  • Transportation
  • Rail
  • Financial transaction platforms
• Experience with event-driven and message-based architectures , particularly Kafka.
• Experience with JMeter or similar performance-testing tools .
• Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms .
• Experience with legacy mainframe or green-screen applications.
• Exposure to batch processing and legacy-to-modern system integration testing.
• Experience participating in PI Planning / Program Increment Planning .
