Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a high-volume, high-acuity cardiac cath lab requiring cardiac or critical care experience and rotating on-call availability.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit performing 12-18 cases per day across 3 newly renovated labs
• High volume, high acuity cath lab taking STEMI call
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00am-5:30pm, alternating Monday-Friday
• Rotating on-call required for weekends, holidays, after hours, and when department is closed
• On-call averages 12-14 days within a 42-day period
• Required to work every other weekend
• Float within scope to medical assignments and ED for medical holds
• Uses Philips rooms, Medrad and manifold injectors, XPER documentation, and EPIC documentation
• Procedures include TAVR, Watchman, CardioMEMS, carotids, Impella, CTO, peripherals, and TEVAR/EVAR

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum of 1 year cardiac or critical care experience required
• Cardiac cath lab and/or IR experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

• Circulate and monitor cases within a team-oriented, hard-working cath lab group
• Scrubs provided
• Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• First-time travelers are accepted
• RTO is permitted at manager's discretion
• Previous employees must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning
