Department Of Gastroenterology

Supported by health system growth, the Department of Gastroenterology at Ochsner Health New Orleans Region is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible GASTROENTEROLOGIST to join its practice at our Jefferson Highway Campus as a GI HOSPITALIST.

Highlights of the position:

• Focus on inpatient, consultative and procedural, GI care
• Procedures to include EGD, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, PEGs ability or willingness to learn deep enteroscopy preferred
• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off; or 14 on / 14 off
• Academic position at teaching hospital with GI fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students
• GI fellows always assigned to inpatient GI consultative team and take 1st call
• Separate inpatient hepatology and advanced endoscopy teams
• Join a highly collegial, 25-physician group comprised of general gastroenterologists, hepatologists, GI subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists
• 24/7 reliable hospitalists onsite
• Strong support from collaborative specialties, including surgery, oncology, radiology, and GI pathology

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range 525-600K, commensurate with experience and training
