Travel Physical Therapist

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to provide exceptional rehabilitation services across a variety of healthcare settings. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to restore mobility, reduce pain, improve function, and maximize independence while adapting seamlessly to new clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to provide exceptional rehabilitation services across a variety of healthcare settings. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to restore mobility, reduce pain, improve function, and maximize independence while adapting seamlessly to new clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient goals.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility training.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, fall prevention, injury prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
- Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and adaptive equipment.
- Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Adapt quickly to new healthcare facilities, workflows, and patient populations while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training.
- Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
- Previous travel healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or long-term care settings.
- Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, and medically complex patients.
- Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new clinical environments.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
