This position ensures accurate loss runs to Finance, actuaries and outside consultants to assure internal resources are available for payment of claims. Administers management of Middlebury Assurance Company, a wholly owned entity of Summa.Minimum Qualifications:1. Formal Education Required:a. Bachelor’s Degreeb. Licensed to Practice Law (preferred State of Ohio)2. Experience and Training Required:a. Five (5)+ years experience in management of professional and general liability claimsb. Five (5)+ years experience with direct responsibility for Risk Management Programc. Three to Five years of progressive supervisory/team leadership experience preferredd. May provide legal advice in consultation with General Counsel3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:a. Working knowledge of risk management program, State and Federal laws, regulations and guidelinesb. Knowledge of civil court processc. Knowledge of insurance policies and lines of coveraged. Works cooperatively with management in advising of litigation strategiese. Accountable for behaviors consistent with Summa’s mission and valuesf.
