Maritime Delivery Services (MDS) is an intermodal trucking company with 4 offices in the US. MDS has been in business since 2007 providing safe, reliable service with dedicated staff and business oriented independent contractors.


The Driver Recruiter will coordinate all aspects of the owner-operator recruiting process and attain measurable results while complying with company directives, local, state, national laws and regulations.

Safety Clerk Job Responsibilities:

• General safety and recruiting administrative tasks as required
• Manage driver qualification process in Tenstreet and other portals
• Ensure every applicant approved for hire has DOT mandated verification of employment from all employers in the last 3 years
• Ensure all the DQ files are current and communicate with safety manager and terminal manager to get missing or expired items updated

Safety Clerk Preferred skills:

• Knowledge of DOT driver qualification requirements
• General knowledge of FMCSA regulations including HOS
• knowledge of Tenstreet, PSP, DA clearinghouse, HireRight/iiX
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of safety or driver recruiting experience preferred
• Working knowledge of DOT driver qualification requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The annualized base salary range for this position is $58,000.00 to $70,000.00, excluding fringe benefits. If hired at OOCL, the final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we also consider internal equity as part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
