You’ll work closely with two students—a 4th grade girl and an 11th grade girl—both of whom are medically fragile and benefit from consistent guidance and care during their school days.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous paraprofessional or instructional assistant experience in a school setting
• Comfort with providing support to medically fragile students
• Willingness to assist with toileting/diapering as needed
• Positive, patient, and empathetic demeanor
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and family members
• Familiarity with behavioral management (especially for working with the 11th grade student)
• Experience with a hoyer lift is welcome; on-site training provided for those eager to learn
• Flexibility to attend early morning team meetings (Tuesdays at 8:00am)
• Reliable attendance and professionalism

Your Responsibilities:

• Offer direct 1:1 support for assigned students throughout building hours (8:45 am – 4:15 pm)
• Assist with personal care, including toileting/diapering, in a respectful and supportive manner
• Help facilitate adaptive learning activities under teacher direction
• Foster a safe environment, responding calmly to medical or behavioral needs
• Communicate daily with the educational team regarding student progress and requirements
• Attend scheduled meetings and collaborate on student care plans
