About the Position

Shift Time: 18:00 – 06:30

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality medical–surgical nursing care to patients with varied diagnoses.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to hospital and nursing standards.
• Utilize EPIC for accurate charting and documentation.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and conduct patient assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians, PCU, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Float first to PCU (for MS assignment); telemetry training preferred but not required.
• Perform charge responsibilities if qualified (charge experience highly preferred).
• Move efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a maximum patient ratio of 1:6.
• Participate in required overtime: up to 2 extra OT shifts per 6‑week schedule .

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Med Surg experience
• License: Active Nebraska RN license (or compact license)
• Education: BSN not required
• Certifications (Required):
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
