Senior Commodity Buyer

Location: San Jose / Mountain View, CA (Hybrid) Type: Contract-to-Hire Overview We are seeking a Senior Buyer or Commodities Manager with strong expertise in mechanical commodity procurement and strategic sourcing initiatives . This role focuses on driving supply chain optimization, vendor management, and cost efficiency for mechanical materials. Responsibilities Lead procurement of mechanical parts, materials, and services Drive strategic sourcing and cost optimization initiatives Build and manage strong supplier/vendor relationships Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements Evaluate financial risks associated with sourcing decisions Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards Support vendor selection and qualification processes Required Qualifications Experience in mechanical commodity purchasing / sourcing Strong background in vendor and supplier management Experience with contract negotiations and procurement strategy Solid understanding of supply chain management principles Strong communication and project management skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Nice-to-Have Experience with ITAR, ISO, or aerospace/space industry Knowledge of ECO (Engineering Change Order) processes Advanced Excel / Google Sheets capabilities #J-18808-Ljbffr The Mice Groups, Inc.
