Teller On-Call

Job Summary As a Community Banker/Teller, you will provide quality service to customers, promote sales of bank products, and perform teller functions while maintaining compliance and operational standards. The role requires occasional travel to other branches as assigned by the region. Responsibilities Deliver 5 points of service to external customers, following the bank’s customer service standards (e.g., Community Banker, Sundown Rule, It’s your time, 24 hrs or bust, Statement of fact, Everybody makes a difference). Adhere to QIS standards and actively contribute to team success through clear, effective communication with co‑workers. Promote sales of bank services, meeting an average goal of $110 per FTE per month and cross‑selling appropriate products to clients and prospects. Place outbound sales and service calls to customers and prospects as directed by the CSM. Maintain teller standards for accuracy, compliance, and cash management, ensuring that unlocated cash differences, operating losses, and BSA errors remain within established limits. Follow branch security procedures during opening, closing, and daily operations. Support daily operational tasks such as processing Branch Capture, certifications, cash shipments, and balancing the ATM and vault. Attend to branch operations, meeting attendance guidelines and exercising sound decision‑making in protecting bank assets while providing excellent customer service. Respond to constructive feedback, correct any identified concerns, and take personal responsibility for the quality and quantity of work. Complete regulatory tutorials and answer compliance questions correctly during audits and branch reviews. Work independently and as part of a team, providing support and guidance to ensure consistent service and compliance. Qualifications & Requirements Good customer relations skills and basic math proficiency. Experience with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and 10‑key machine operation. Ability to travel to other branches as assigned by the region. Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to listen, speak, and understand customers and colleagues. Physical ability to stand, walk, and carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Inclusion of performance reviews and referral criteria in promotional considerations: an employee must have been in the current position for six months, meet performance and referral criteria at least four times during the prior six months, and have no counseling actions in that period. Equipment & Tools 10‑key machine, Microsoft‑based computers, fax machine, photocopier, ATM, tube system for drive‑up window, and Branch Capture equipment.
