Dock Attendant

General Description: This position is responsible for providing fuel and lubricants to customers via dock or truck rack. Provides fuels to customers at the Truck Loading Rack and Marine Dock Fills propane tanks for customers Sells package lube products to customers Assist in bulk fuel transfers to and from barges Assist with tank farm operations Assist with oil spill response requirements General yard maintenance such as lawn mowing, trash pickup, etc. Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to maintain accurate accounting for transactions Ability to work with others Ability to communicate, maintain monetary and time management skills Ability to maintain accurate, updated preventative maintenance records. Ability to provide adequate customer service Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and severe outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations. MOBILITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses computers on a daily basis. Employee must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently and up to 75 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. HEARING: The employee frequently is required to talk or hear while answering phones, working with customers, clients, supervisors, etc. VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner.
