Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Shift: 12h Night, 19:00-07:00, Every Other Wednesday
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Start Date: 06/14/2026
Job Description:
This position involves providing care in a 36-bed Intensive Care Unit, specializing in neuro, cardiac, and medical surgical ICU. The nurse will manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 2-3 depending on patient acuity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the medical team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document and maintain patient records using EPIC Charting system
- Participate in unit meetings and quality improvement projects
Requirements:
- Current IL Nursing License
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum of 2 years of strong ICU experience
- Experience with EPIC Charting system
- Ability to float as needed
- Complete required credentials including updated resume, skills checklist, and IL license verification
