The Purpose of Your Role The Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor collaborates with the leadership team to oversee programming and operations, ensuring that all Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) operate safely, effectively, and efficiently while upholding the highest quality standards. The supervisor manages the scheduling, task completion, communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and time management for BHTs. Additionally, the BHT Supervisor works closely with the Clinical Director to maintain treatment fidelity and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and client satisfaction in accordance with OCD Anxiety Center standards. Success Indicators/KPIs Achieve a 4.5 or higher on each Facility Survey Successfully pass JCAHO and other state licensing surveys Accurate documentation from self and team at the time of service Achieve a minimum ALOS of 60 Days Maintain staffing within the approved budget Reduce early discharges by a minimum of 10% and ALOS of a minimum of 12-16 weeks by ensuring treatment satisfaction and client engagement Being an example of positivity, optimism, growth, and change within your community of peers (as evidenced by staff evaluation audit). 4-5 hours per day of active facilitation, support and observation on the treatment floor (evidenced by scheduling and outcomes) Core Competencies Ability to hold exposure-focused sessions with clients and work with clients to create exposure lists Ability to lead Exposure creation, Exposure skills practice, Exposure Family Skills, and Progress groups Ability to complete a Behavioral Health Assessment upon admission Ability to create a treatment plan with clients Ability to document clearly and efficiently Ability to complete suicide assessments and monitor risk. Ability to present and manage cases knowledgeably and professionally to obtain a clinically indicated length of stay that allows enough time for clients to make sufficient gains and complete the program. Core Responsibilities Demonstrate all competencies of BHT Demonstrate ability to identify which training topics need to be given for the BHT’s continual improvement Demonstrate ability to hold live trainings through google chat rooms and answer BHT’s questions effectively Demonstrate ability to train on proper implementation of Exposure, DBT, and SGG groups and ensure that all new BHT’s pass on all competencies for their position within 90 days Demonstrate how to properly audit and perform competency evaluations on Exposure/skills, SSG, and DBT groups. Demonstrate ability to train, coach, and mentor BHT’s for ongoing growth and development by consistent performance reviews, mentoring, coaching and staff appreciation Demonstrate effectiveness as an Incident Commander Demonstrate ability to Manage timecards, time off request, and be able to keep staff accountable for their attendance Demonstrate ability to have an overview of the needs of the clients and staff at all times Demonstrate understanding of basic functions of other departments and positions Demonstrate ability to make adjustments to the BHT schedule when needed and train others as needed Adheres to all company policies and procedures Ensure clients are informed of and understand the rationale behind the 12-16 weeks of treatment required. Create 3 SMART goals each quarter with the Program Director (APD) to improve your skills as a clinician. Other duties as assigned The Skills and Expertise You Have Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of experience in a related field 2+ years of management experience Proficient knowledge of computers, including Google Docs, sheets, and other computer software Accurate and efficient electronic data entry Must be punctual and maintain excellent attendance Organized, detail-oriented, takes initiative, and completes job responsibilities independently Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
