Counter Attendant

Description:

The Skate Counter Attendant plays a key role in delivering a positive guest experience at the ice rink. This team member is responsible for assisting customers with skate rentals and returns, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the skate area, and ensuring all guests are outfitted safely and efficiently. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests with a welcoming and helpful attitude.
• Handle skate rentals, returns, and exchanges quickly and accurately
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and sanitization of skates and the skate counter area.
• Inspect skates for damage and report maintenance needs.
• Monitor skate inventory and communicate shortages or issues.
• Provide basic safety information and answer guest questions regarding rink rules and policies.
• Support crowd control and line management during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members and assist in other operational areas as needed
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards

• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the event schedule.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a memorable experience for guests.

Work Environment

This position requires that work be performed at Wollman Rink. Attendance at events taking place at the rink or offsite, including on weekends and/or holidays, may be required.

Compensation details: 18-18 Hourly Wage
