Summary  

Serves customers by preparing preliminary loan documents, financials, and service paperwork to create a complete loan package. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

·        Gather necessary preliminary documents to begin a loan file including business documentation, beneficial ownership, personal identification, good standing, etc.

·        Learn to prepare accurate loan documents for all loan type requests including but not limited to: commercial, commercial real estate, agricultural, modifications and/ or change in terms, consumer real estate, and consumer.

·        Order necessary accompanying services from approved vendors such as title work, appraisals, surveys, etc.

·        Keep loan officer informed of the progress of each loan file.

·        Work with loan officer, realtor, and customer to schedule closing by notifying when the loan is clear to close.

·        Ensure all documents have been signed and are complete prior to packaging the loan for funding once loan is closed.

·        Communicate with supervisor of any items that need attention.

·        Communicate with the note department regarding needs or questions that affect the department.

·        Utilize the processing system.

·        Communicate with other loan processors, loan officers, and administrative staff as necessary.

·        Keep loan files organized and readily available.

·        Manage time effectively so that no loan is left unprocessed at or near the time of closing.

·        Assemble closed loan folders according to the prescribed method and deliver to the note department in a timely manner adhering to cut off time and procedures.

·        Arrange loan funding.

·        Maintain goodwill and relationships with all Bank affiliates / vendors that instill their confidence in and desire to do business with the Bank.

·        Be professional and courteous to Bank affiliates / vendors.

·        Ensure the privacy of the Bank and customers.

·        Develop strong working relationships with all Bank Staff and departments of the Bank by maintaining professionalism and courtesy in each encounter.

Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED), college degree preferred; minimum one-year loan processing experience preferred.

 

Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.  Ability to use basic office machines. Ability to learn bank-specific software.

 

Bank Culture/Customer Service Skills – Promotes the Bank’s culture, including the support of our Vision. Ability to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees, customers, and supervisor. Ability to serve customers, both internal and external, in a manner that will reflect outstanding customer service.

 

Other Skills – Individual must be flexible and able to travel to other branches to fill staffing needs with or without notice.

 

Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
