Project Management Associate Director

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director of Project Management to lead complex supply chain transformation initiatives through digitization and AI integration. The role involves overseeing multiple concurrent projects, establishing governance frameworks, and collaborating across functional teams to deliver strategic objectives on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple complex projects independently and inspire innovative problem-solving approaches
  • Develop integrated project plans, budgets, and governance frameworks for supply chain optimization
  • Partner with Digital Technology and Engineering to incorporate automation and AI into project deliverables
  • Conduct scenario analyses and provide risk assessments and recommendations to leadership
  • Report program progress, benefits realization, and adoption metrics to senior management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of project management experience in pharmaceutical industry
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and Smartsheet
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex project portfolios and teams
  • Strong presentation skills and cross-functional communication capabilities
  • Experience with project planning tools: charters, ROI analysis, change management

Compensation: $155,700 - $233,500 base
