RN - ICU

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Morristown, NJ. This role is ideal for an ICU-trained RN with strong clinical judgment, rapid assessment skills, and the ability to manage complex, high-acuity patients.

Job Function:

• Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Evaluate and continuously monitor patient progress in the ICU .
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately .
• Provide timely updates to physicians, patients, and family members .
• Initiate treatments, administer medications, and monitor dosing .
• Respond to medical emergencies and activate appropriate clinical teams .
• Deliver comprehensive care throughout the patient's ICU stay .
• Complete all required documentation prior to patient transfer.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience required (hard requirement)
• Active RN license required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Prior experience in ICU or high-acuity Step-Down units preferred
• Strong critical thinking and rapid response skills preferred
