About the Position

Our client is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers for local operations based in Baltimore, Maryland. This temp-to-hire position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, daily home time, and strong long-term potential.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $27.00 per hour, straight time
Employment Type: Temp-to-hire
Schedule: Full-time, 5-day workweek
Workweek Options: Monday–Friday, Tuesday–Saturday, or Sunday–Thursday
Shift: First shift, with dispatch times between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Home Time: Home daily

Job Details

Route Type: Local
Route Area: Typically within 200–250 miles of the Baltimore yard, with most routes traveling shorter distances
Average Stops: 3–6 stops per day
Freight: General freight; hazmat loads may be assigned
Equipment: Tractor-trailer with automatic transmission
Handling: No-touch freight
Work Setting: On-site

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer on local delivery routes
Transport general freight in accordance with DOT regulations and safety standards
Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork
Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel

Minimum Requirements

Valid CDL-A
2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
Experience operating CDL-A tractor-trailer equipment
Hazmat endorsement preferred at hire and required within the first 90 days of employment
Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
