Remote Title ExaminerSeeking an experienced Remote Title Examiner.A prominent full-service Settlement & Escrow Company is expanding and hiring a Title Examiner.The Commercial Clearance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the timely close of commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and 2-5 years of relevant experience in the title industry.Qualifications:High school diploma, required. Bachelor's degree, preferred.3-5 years commercial title examination experience. NJ, NY, and/or PA experience required.Computer experience, including Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft Teams a plus.Job Responsibilities– This role requires experience with commercial title search and examination, title report preparation, review of legal documents, coordination with stakeholders (i.e. attorneys, lenders, other involved parties), and title insurance policy issuance.– Review and analyze survey maps, plats, and legal descriptions to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.– Receive all title searches for review and examination where appropriate.– Examine the title search to prepare a title commitment.– Load the title commitment with all necessary sections complete.– Produce a cover letter to highlight matters of title to be included with commitment.– Deliver the title commitment to the appropriate parties, including realtors, lenders, etc.– Complete all related system tasks.– Serve as a resource to the Examinations team on title questions.– Maintain a strong working relationship with our underwriting counsel.– Assist with ad hoc title requests and questions to support the business.Success Factors/Job Competencies/SkillsMust be extremely organized and detail oriented.Ability to handle heavy client contact on a regular basis and provide exemplary customer service.Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization.Collaborate and influence outcomes through effective written and verbal communication skills.Strong commitment to understanding and utilizing the organization's technology tools.Must be able to work efficiently, handle deadline pressures, and perform continuous follow-up to meet team-oriented goals.Diligent status updates into software to effectively communicate the workflow within the office.Excellent Benefits!
