Financial Analyst

Financial AnalystPhoenix Global is the premier international provider of steel mill services. The company has been actively adding domestic and international subsidiaries and is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the AVP of Finance for the Northern and Southern Regions. The Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the growing finance and accounting team and will report directly to the AVP of Finance. The incumbent will assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts, financial reports, presentation materials, and provide ad hoc analysis for the organization.Primary Responsibilities:Actively assist in developing and optimizing the forecasting and reporting modelsPrepare & standardize reports and projectionsIdentify trends in financial performance, identify risks & opportunities, and provide recommendations for improvementConduct quantitative analyses surrounding budgeting, forecasting and analysis to support company-wide objectivesAnalyze and monitor trends from financial metrics to identify variancesAssist in developing finance and business presentationsDesign reports in the company's ERP system (Oracle) and consolidation/reporting package (OneStream)Streamline data exchange between systems and sourcesDocument departmental processesPerform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operationsKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:Superior analytical skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsOrganized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions and diverse teamsAbility to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlinesAbility to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous prioritiesHigh energy, high ownership of work productMust have a mix of attention to detail and a sense of urgency/results orientationAbility to approach problems from different perspectives to suggest and implement solutionsWork Environment:This job takes place in an office with weekly meetings in a Steel Mill, requiring a sense of high-level safety reverence using the required PPE for the environment.Physical Demand:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen in potentially noisy indoor and outdoor environments.
