Provide day-to-day business services support to the various line units. Meet with businesses and prospects to discuss and solicit business services. Interface with line and staff units to help promote business services. Assist in business loan write ups and in the maintenance and security of the business loan documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and analyze pertinent business credit information, financial statements, tax returns, and related data required to properly evaluate business loan requests.
• Have excellent knowledge of all NCUA regulations pertaining to business lending.
• Analyze and spread financial statements as needed.
• Assist in the presentation of loan requests to Management Loan Committee.
• Monitor loan documents for accuracy and timely closing.
• Underwrite Annual Loan Reviews and follow up on any loan covenants (financial statements, insurance policies, etc.).
• Review and/or assist in the preparation of departmental business loan reports as required.
• Cross sell other Credit Union services and participates in external events such as the SBA forums.
• Provide business services support to the enterprise, including but not limited to the Branches and MSC.
• Ensure that job responsibility is performed in accordance with CU’s policy and procedures.
• Train other business loan center staff members and Branch/MSC staff as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Two to three years of commercial loan experience (i.e. lender, loan underwriter, and documentation & administrative servicing experience)

Minimum Physical Requirements & Working conditions

• Routine office work, meetings, phone calls, email, typing, responding to correspondence.
• Off-site meetings with prospective clients or community/ business events on occasion.
• Site visits including construction and commercial real estate properties on occasion.
• Able to work under stressful situations.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Traveling around and using driver’s licenses and personal vehicle to get around.

Benefits and Pay

The expected pay range for the Commercial Loan Officer is $85,000.24 to $115,000.08 per year.

This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role based on typical qualifications and market data. The pay offered may vary depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
