Summary This vacancy is for a GS-2030-9, Distribution Facilities Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, BASE CAPE COD COMPTROLLER and BASE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT in BUZZARDS BAY, MA. Responsibilities You will serve as a Distribution Facilities Specialist and be responsible for managing proper material management is executed to achieve and maintain an optimized supply chain and Chief Financial Officers (CFO) compliance. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Executes material management duties such as performing records functions in inventory, storage, and receipt and control processes. Provides assistance to Unit personnel on quality control issues related to major components of Coast Guard systems. Maintains accurate and timely supply data using multiple Coast Guard and Other Government Agency logistics systems. Provides assistance and advice to unit personnel on the availability of material and the resolution of discrepancies. Utilizes the principles, practices, and procedures used in supply management (part requisition and issuance) to support maintenance and repair of equipment systems. Qualifications To qualify at the GS-09 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Experience handling full cycle inventories such as physical, stocking and shipment for materials. Experience applying HAZMAT regulations and procedures, including tracking and due-in management. Experience researching and resolving discrepancies. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B.
