Equipment and Automation Engineer II

Abbott Cancer Diagnostics seeks an Equipment and Automation Engineer II to support manufacturing operations and new equipment launches. The role involves troubleshooting, process development, failure analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain diagnostic equipment and drive process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document procedures for building and modifying equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and provide technical guidance to production teams on equipment issues
- Investigate failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions
- Support custom equipment builds, testing, and failure analysis investigations
- Lead improvement projects and recommend enhancements to processes and equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years experience, or Associate's degree with 4+ years experience
- Basic knowledge of engineering theories, practices, and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects independently
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing or engineering problem-solving and process improvement
- 2+ years experience in FDA/cGMP/CAP/CLIA regulated environments
- 2+ years experience with Electronic Quality Management Systems and manufacturing software
Compensation: $61,300.00 – $122,700.00 base
