Senior Project Manager

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll own complex software implementation projects from planning through go-live, helping clients achieve successful outcomes while navigating competing priorities and evolving needs. You'll collaborate with executive stakeholders, guide cross-functional teams, and drive accountability across every phase of delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership and communication skills with experience managing enterprise technology deployments in a client-facing environment. PMP certification is required, along with a passion for delivering projects that improve the healthcare experience for providers and the communities they serve.Key ResponsibilitiesLead complex enterprise projects by defining scope, aligning stakeholders, and driving execution across cross-functional teamsEstablish and maintain program governance structures that ensure visibility, accountability, and risk management across initiativesManage project financials by forecasting, monitoring performance, and implementing corrective actions to maintain alignment with targetsDevelop and deliver clear, structured stakeholder communications including executive-level updates and decision supportManage changes to scope, schedule, and cost while maintaining alignment to business objectives and delivery commitmentsStrengthen client and stakeholder relationships to support project success and long-term partnershipIdentify opportunities to improve processes, delivery models, and business outcomes based on project resultsQualificationsRequiredAt least 5 years of project management experience leading complex or enterprise initiativesProject Management Professional certification or equivalentDemonstrated ability to make timely decisions that align to business priorities and project constraintsProven ability to manage and balance competing stakeholder needs across multiple teams or functionsExperience using project management tools and data to monitor progress and inform decisionsStrong communication skills with ability to present to senior stakeholdersBachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experiencePreferredAt least 3 years of experience managing large-scale or cross-functional programsAt least 2 years of experience improving processes or delivery frameworksExperience working with data analysis or reporting tools to support decision makingExperience supporting strategic or enterprise-level initiativesSome travel may be required.This is an onsite position at our office in Overland Park, KS#LI-GB1Netsmart is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer, providing equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals.
