Schedule

1st Shift 6:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Thursday) 6:00am - Noon (Friday)

Summary

Welds fixtured aluminum frames together with a variety of arc and gas welding equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

· Welds aluminum components together using gas welding or any combination of arc welding processes.

· Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.

· Repairs broken or cracked parts, and fills holes when necessary.

· Positions and fixtures components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.

· Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications.

· Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothes surfaces.

· Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications.

· Responsible to maintain an environment of human dignity and ethical behavior with our associates, families, customers, suppliers, and communities.

· Responsible to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Unsafe conditions or acts are to be corrected in a timely fashion.

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment; such as safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
