** SIGN ON BONUS **
We are seeking a qualified Class A Driver to join our team for full-time, Monday through Friday local routes. The ideal candidate has over three years of commercial driving experience, a clean driving record, and competency with manual transmissions. This role involves solo driving with a focus on safety and efficiency, transporting general cargo without touch freight. A sign-on bonus is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes safely and efficiently on local daily schedules
- Plan routes to optimize delivery times and fuel use
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips
- Operate manual transmission vehicles competently
- Verify and secure loads to prevent cargo shifting during transit
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles
- Experienced in local route navigation
- Ability to secure cargo according to safety standards
- Strong adherence to safety compliance regulations
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules
- Effective communication skills
