Pharmacy Supervisor
The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing our sterile compounding operations in Boise, Nampa and Caldwell. They will be responsible for onboarding new pharmacists and technicians. The Cancer Center Supervisor will lead about ten colleagues.
The Supervisor will work closely with Cancer Institute leadership, attend daily team huddles, and support clinical development across the entire Cancer Institute. The Supervisor will be fully supported by the Cancer Center Leadership Team and will be mentored by a supportive Manager.
The Cancer Institute's Pharmacy Supervisor will have the unique opportunity to be involved in the workflow designs and building of the new, freestanding Cancer Institutes will be built in Boise and Caldwell.
Relocation and Sign-on Bonus Available.
The Cancer Institute's Pharmacy Supervisor will:
- Clinically train new pharmacists.
- Assist in developing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures and review other disciplines' policies or protocols as needed.
- Function as point of contact for site.
- Provide staff supervision for 9 current pharmacists with more to be added.
- Assist in employee evaluations.
- Facilitate the VOICE system.
- Facilitate establishment of new drugs on formulary. Review existing formulary for possible deletions. Update physicians and hospital staff on formulary changes.
- Identify and provide educational programs necessary to maintain staff competency.
- Manage pharmaceutical supply situations. Manage product shortages.
- Coordinate regulatory requirements for clinical activities.
- Coordinate the department's clinical quality assurance activities and documentation.
- Act as an on-call clinical specialist for consultations and staff support.
