Per-Diem Registered Nurse - Occupational Health

Occupational Health Registered Nurse needed for a 1st shift, ongoing per-diem contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known manufacturing client located in Kansas City, KS. Provideemergency care, first-aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses,within standing orders. This position requires the knowledge of prevention of illness & injury, protection from work-related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health. RN will maintain accurate records related to OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, and corporate reporting. --> SHIFTS: as-needed between Monday and Friday either 6:00am to 2:30pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm (must be flexible) Top Skills You Should Possess: Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of Kansas Minimum of 3-5years' experience as a Nurse in an Occupational Health, Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Corrections, School Nursing, and/or FamilyPractice type setting Flexible, adaptable, reliable, friendly, and helpful employee High level of initiative and sound independent judgment What You’ll Be Doing: Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for sick or injured employees Promote wellness/wellbeing initiatives at the site Provide medical testing such as: drug screens, vision testing, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, and perform limited interpretation of tests Interfacewith health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner Charting/documentation of careusing EMR system (Cority) Assistplant physician in minor surgical procedures Respond to medical emergencies on the campus, asneeded What You Need to Bring to the Table: Must be able to pick up a minimum of 4 shifts a month (ideally seeking those with full flexibility to cover PTO and call-outs,0-5 days per week) Current BLS Computer skills with previous experience using EMR (Cority experience a plus!)
