Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist \n Discipline: Allied Health Professional \n Start Date: 10/05/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 40 hours per week \n Shift: 8 hours, days \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n Shift - Days 5*8. \n Duties: \n Job Summary: -This role performs various modalities of cardiac ultrasound including transthoracic echo, stress echo, and assistance in transesophageal echo. -This role is also accountable for the preparation of preliminary interpretation reports, billing procedures, study transmittal and coverage of satellite sites. -Perform echocardiograms in accordance with lab standards while meeting daily volume expectations. -Responds to emergent exams is a timely manner. -Follows department workflows for reporting, billing and standard daily performance. -Ensures patient care is provided in clean, safe, quiet, and secure environment. -Renders excellent patient care to patients and families. -All hospital related interactions are courteous and confidential and in accordance with HIPPAA regulations. -Participates in staff meetings, research studies, quality assurance activities and working groups. -Cooperates and assists in obtaining institutional, divisional and departmental initiatives and goals. -Assists in the teaching of students, fellows and new technicians. -Follows the policies, procedures and cost-control standards of the hospital as well as department specific policies and procedures. -Travels and provides echocardiography coverage at satellite locations. -Pulls echo folders for patients being seen at satellite location. -Ensures all satellite locations are properly stocked. -Reports any problems with echo equipment and arrange for service. \n This role performs various modalities of cardiac ultrasound including transthoracic echo, stress echo, and assistance in transesophageal echo. \n This role is also accountable for the preparation of preliminary interpretation reports, billing procedures, study transmittal and coverage of satellite sites. \n This role demonstrates advanced knowledge of pediatric echo and a higher level of ability, performance and competencies. \n • \n Perform echocardiograms in accordance with lab standards while meeting daily volume expectations. Responds to emergent exams is a timely manner. Follows department workflows for reporting, billing and standard daily performance. \n • \n Ensures patient care is provided in clean, safe, quiet, and secure environment. Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to deliver developmental and age-appropriate care to patients. \n Education: \n Required Education: -High school diploma or GED. Preferred Education: -Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs [CAAHEP] accredited cardiovascular program. Required Certifications & Licensure: -Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer [RDCS] in pediatric echocardiography from ARDMS; OR -Registered Cardiac Sonographer [RCS or RCCS] from CCI within one (1) year of placement into the role. Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -N/A \n Required Education: High School Diploma/GED \n Required Experience: Two (2) years of pediatric echocardiography experience. \n \n Preferred Experience: Five (5) years of pediatric echocardiography experience. \n Within 12 months of start date: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) \n \n ProKatchers Job ID 37650658.
