Product Demonstrator Part Time

DESCRIPTION

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, and demonstrating products in a professional manner. The Associate must maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactively intercept, engage, interact with and sell product to consumers in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of products. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements. Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per company policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Access the internet and navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms. • This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company may adjust hours based on business or client needs. QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Proficient at using a personal computer or mobile device to access applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required. Physical Demands: Stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach overhead up to 65 inches, talk, hear, read, stoop, kneel, squat, climb stairs or ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance: Maintain a professional, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in training documents. Language Skills: English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
