Pharmacist - Pharmacy Benefits Administrator

Pharmacy Benefit Administrator

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director, all Pharmacy functions to be completed using the outlined policies, procedures and standards developed for providing the maximum level of services to assure that care is provided to all patients including adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal patients.

The Pharmacy Benefit Administrator is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the pharmacy benefit program for Comanche County Hospital Authority's self-insured health plan. This position requires a licensed pharmacist who will optimize medication therapy outcomes while controlling costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing clinical oversight of pharmaceutical services for plan members.

Must be a graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education.

Current Oklahoma Pharmacy License as a Registered Pharmacist. Must maintain licensure and meet continuing education requirements.

Knowledgeable in the specialized functions of retail pharmacies. Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge. Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and medication management. Understanding of pharmacy benefit design and management principles. Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret pharmacy claims data. Knowledge of pharmacy reimbursement methodologies (AWP, MAC, WAC, etc.). Familiarity with ERISA, HIPAA, and healthcare regulatory requirements. Prior retail experience. Current Oklahoma Pharmacy Preceptor License. Completed a residency program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Board certification (BCPS, BCACP, or related specialty). Prior authorization or utilization management experience. Experience with formulary development and management. MBA or health administration degree.
