Senior Claims Examiner in Brea, CA

Job Responsibilities
- Interpret and make decisions on complex and unusual policy coverages.
- Manage all aspects of investigative activity on complex claims.
- Direct discovery and litigation strategy with legal counsel.
- Analyze claims activity and prepare reports for clients and management.
- Establish reserves and authorize payments within scope of authority.
- Settle claims promptly and equitably.
- Develop subrogation and third-party recovery potential.
- Participate in claim reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 4-8 years of technical claims investigations/settling experience.
- Workers Compensation (WC) Adjuster License required according to jurisdictional requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferences
- Industry designations such as IIA, AIC, AEI, and/or CPCU.
