The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will lead a nimble, full-spectrum HR team within a critical access hospital , supporting both clinical and non-clinical operations across the continuum of care. The CHRO will build and sustain talent acquisition, retention, and succession pipelines for nursing, advanced practice, allied health, and corporate roles to deliver an employer-of-choice experience. The role will steward labor relations, ensure employment-law compliance, manage multiple bargaining agreements, and partner with counsel to mitigate risk. Leveraging an enterprise HCM suite, LMS, and compensation modeling tools, the CHRO will elevate data literacy, optimize total rewards, and scale values-based recognition programs that reinforce organizational culture and outcomes.

Reporting to the CEO, the CHRO will partner with the C-suite and service-line leaders and brief the Board on people strategy and organizational health. The VP HR drive relations with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Organizational Development, and Total Rewards. They will drive strategic workforce planning, DEI, leadership development, change management, and advanced HR analytics. The CHRO will align practices with accreditation standards and labor contracts and collaborate closely with clinical leaders to strengthen engagement, reduce turnover, shorten time-to-fill, and expand internal mobility.
