Essential Functions – Food preparation:Cooking patties , fries, chicken strips and other food preparation tasks Food safety:Following food safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and food-borne illnesses Kitchen cleanliness:Keeping the kitchen clean and organized Waste reduction:Helping to reduce waste Health department regulations:Ensuring all health department regulations are met Attention to detail:Paying close attention to detail Teamwork:Working well with others Must be able to work Weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) Work Environment – Indoors They often work early mornings, late evenings, weekends Physical Demands – Lifting over 20lbs Standing:Working in a kitchen often involves standing for long periods of time. Lifting:BOH staff may need to lift heavy pots, pans, and other items, such as boxes of chicken or patties. Bending:BOH staff may need to bend frequently to reach items in low places. Repetitive motions:BOH staff may need to perform repetitive motions with their hands, fingers, and wrists. Working in different temperatures:BOH staff may need to work in spaces with varying temperatures. Operating equipment:BOH staff may need to safely operate grills, ovens, slicers, and other equipment.
