This candidate will have the ability to work well with others and interact with multiple departments. Inventory Control & Management Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials, components, finished goods, and work-in-process inventory. Oversee inventory related to: Wood species and sheet goods Door slabs and frames Hardware and accessories Glass and lite kits Machined components Fasteners and consumables Develop and maintain cycle count programs and physical inventory procedures. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and variances. Monitor inventory turns, aging inventory, scrap, and obsolescence. Manufacturing & Production Support Coordinate closely with production scheduling to ensure material availability for manufacturing operations. Support pre-hung and millwork production workflows by aligning inventory processes with manufacturing demand. Maintain accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) and inventory data within ERP/MRP systems. Work with purchasing to forecast material requirements and prevent stockouts. Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and warehouse efficiency initiatives. Warehouse Operations Supervise receiving, storage, material movement, and shipping coordination. Ensure proper organization and storage of wood products and manufactured materials. Maintain warehouse safety standards and OSHA compliance. Improve warehouse layout and material flow to support operational efficiency. Reporting & Process Improvement Generate inventory performance reports and KPIs. Analyze usage trends and recommend stocking strategies. Implement best practices for inventory accuracy and process standardization. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across operations and manufacturing. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of inventory management experience in: Pre-hung door manufacturing Millwork manufacturing Architectural woodwork Building materials manufacturing Door, frame, and hardware industry Strong understanding of manufacturing inventory processes and warehouse operations. Experience working in ERP/WMS systems within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of BOM structures, production scheduling, and material planning. Physical Demands This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required. Work Environment This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
