Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts, with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours. Must be available to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period (every 4 weeks).

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical unit provides multidisciplinary care to a diverse patient population, addressing a wide range of disease processes including renal, hepatic, respiratory, cardiac, and more. The RN will be accountable for individualized patient outcomes across their care continuum, ensuring optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families/caregivers.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Provide optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Meet the cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the population served.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2 years of Medical Surgical experience.
• Active NV RN license required prior to start.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
