This role oversees department managers across all business functions, guest experience, food and beverage, golf services, facilities, and events — ensuring every part of the operation runs at a high standard. The AGM owns day-to-day execution, holds leaders accountable, and steps in as the acting GM when needed. This role operates with autonomy, sets the tone for the team, and is a key driver of venue performance. As a leader of a high-energy, guest-facing venue, this role requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with availability to work extended hours during peak periods, special events, and high-volume seasons.Lead Venue OperationsOversee department managers and their teams in delivering best-in-class guest experiencesHold leaders accountable for operating standards, staffing, and guest and team safetyStep into the GM role during absences, owning full venue accountabilityForecast and manage sales and expenses across departmentsLeverage business metrics and trends to drive performance and maximize profitabilityDevelop and Coach LeadersCoach and develop direct reports, investing in their growth as leadersDrive team member engagement across all departmentsSupport effective hiring, scheduling, and team building across the venueDelegate with clarity and follow up to ensure executionDrive the Guest ExperienceStay visible on the floor and interact with guests to assess and elevate their experienceChampion a culture of hospitality across every touchpointUse guest feedback and operational data to continuously improve the experienceRepresent the Brand and CommunityCultivate relationships with community leaders and local organizationsSupport brand-building events, partnerships, and activationsUphold Topgolf's core values: Fun, One Team, Excellence, Courage, and CaringCore competencies for success include:Drives ResultsBuilds Effective TeamsEnsures AccountabilityDecision QualityQualifications include:5+ years of restaurant, hotel, or entertainment venue management experience, including at least 2 recent years as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager in a multi-unit operationBachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be consideredProven track record of leading multi-unit operations in a high-volume environmentAbility to obtain required licenses and certifications for your locationMust be 21 years of age or older as required by state or local lawPhysical requirements include:Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, including bending, stooping, and carryingAbility to remain on your feet and in motion for extended periods throughout the shift, including standing, walking, and navigating stairsAbility to perform a variety of physical tasks consistently throughout the workday in a fast-paced, high-energy venue environmentAbility to work in varying outdoor weather conditions for extended periods of time, including heat, cold, and inclement weatherAbility to communicate clearly and effectively in a venue environment that may include moderate to high levels of background noiseAbility to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while performing desk-based tasks, including working at a computer and reviewing documents
