Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / Electrophysiology

Location

Chesapeake, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | Rotating 5x8 and 4x10 shifts between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minimally invasive cardiac procedures within a full-service cardiovascular program
• Provide skilled nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and/or Cath Holding areas as assigned
• Monitor and assess patients throughout cardiovascular procedures, ensuring safety and quality of care
• Collaborate with the cardiovascular care team to support patient outcomes before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Fulfill rotating call obligations including weekends and two of the three winter holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Background in Critical Care (ICU), Cardiac Care (CC), or Emergency Department (ED) required
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records required — no exceptions
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission — no exceptions
• Must pass a pre-start EKG competency test with a score of 80% or higher (one attempt; no remediation available)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Electrophysiology procedures or a full-service cardiovascular program
• Familiarity with interval measurements, complex rhythm identification, and EKG interpretation including heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial and junctional rhythms, and pacing
