Carhop or Skating Carhop

Overview SONIC Carhop positions offer competitive pay, flexible hours and a casual uniform, with the opportunity to provide guests a memorable experience at SONIC Drive-In restaurants. Carhops are responsible for serving and delivering food safely and efficiently while ensuring guests have a positive experience. Responsibilities Ensure that all restaurant menu items meet operational standards. Greet all guests in a polite and friendly manner with a smile. Make accurate change quickly and efficiently for restaurant guests. Carry and balance a tray weighing up to 25 pounds. Serve guests in a timely manner and clear trays from guests’ cars. Skating Carhop Servers Depending upon the employment practices of the individual SONIC Drive-In restaurant owner, some locations employ Skating Carhop servers. Skating Carhop servers add a special customer experience and must complete the SONIC Skating Training Program. Upon successful completion, Skating Carhops perform the duties above while roller skating. Quote "From where I'm skating, working at SONIC is a blast and the tips are great too!" Requirements Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility in all situations based on business need. Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills. Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC. Skating Carhop Requirements Successfully completed assigned SONIC Skating Training Program. Roller skate proficiently and frequently on various surfaces when delivering food. Ability to continuously stand, balance and carry a tray, and sweep while roller skating. General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations is preferred, but not required. Additional Qualifications Friendly and smiling demeanor with a commitment to courteous service. Willingness to cross-train on all stations. A team player who values cleanliness and safety.
