Manufacturing Associate, 2nd shift

ICP Group is seeking a Manufacturing Associate 2nd shift  for our Lynchburg VA (Carroll)plant. The primary responsibility of the Processor – Gas House in the Carroll location is to fill canisters with product. This position comes with an expectation of being able to work at a fast pace and be able to meet the daily schedule.  

Monday – Thursday; 3:30pm – 2:00am (2nd shift; shift ends Friday morning at 2am) $18.00 per hour + $.65 per hour shift differential.

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain strict adherence to all plant safety requirements including wearing proper PPE  
• Must have good attendance 
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods  
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. and perform other necessary physical requirements in performance of regular job duties  
• Ability to work in chemical manufacturing environment, involving solvents and other hazardous materials 
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature regulated environment 
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented 
• Must be able to follow specific instructions (work instructions, procedures, etc.), both written and verbal 
• Ability to communicate effectively 
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience a plus 

Requirements: 

• High school diploma of GED
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Help with cycle counts when needed 
• Train others when needed 
• Maintains cleanliness of work area 
• Grease, adjust, or clean specific parts of the production line to keep equipment in optimal condition; use various hand tools 
• May need to fill canister manual if equipment has a glitch; turn PLC off, open valve(s) manually to fill canister to appropriate weight 
• Push filled canister back onto conveyor 
• Monitor canister weight to ensure accurate product filling 
• Slide the empty canister from the conveyor to the scale, attach the hoses to the canister, and press the button to initiate the filling process 
• Review work order information; key in formula number per work order 
• Operate equipment and monitor quality 
• Perform start up and shut down of equipment 
• Follow standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations
