Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Team has an opening for a senior systems engineer. As a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer supporting Mission Systems based in San Diego CA.

What candidate will get to do

• Develop artifacts necessary to support assessment and authorization of the system
• Work within the Systems Engineering Group to provide technical decisions and guidance to enable timely, high quality product deliveries that meet mission Cyber requirements
• Partner and collaborate with other program systems engineers across Integrated Product Teams to accomplish program cyber requirements and meet mission objectives
• Ensure weapon system compliance with all contractually obligated cybersecurity standards and guidance, including but not limited to CNSSI 1253, DoD 8570, DoD 8510, and AFI 17-101
• Propose and design cyber systems architecture changes with traceability to requirements
• Provide cyber implementation guidance and oversight across technical teams
• Participate in cybersecurity assessment activities and review cybersecurity assessment methods, plans, procedures, reports and security penetration test planning and execution.
• Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.

Basic Qualifications for the Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:

• 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
• Active US Government Secret Clearance.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas:

· Anti-Tamper or Cybersecurity

· Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework

· Cybersecurity Resiliency

· Reverse Engineering

· Security requirements development

· System Security Integration & Testing

· Security Validation and verification

Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:

• 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Year with PhD
• Active US Government Secret Clearance.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas:

· Anti-Tamper or Cybersecurity

· Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework

· Cybersecurity Resiliency

· Reverse Engineering

· Security requirements development

· System Security Integration & Testing

· Security Validation and verification

• Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+) or higher.

Primary Level Salary Range: $125,300.00 - $187,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $156,400.00 - $234,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
