Surgical Tech
The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting in the care of the surgical patient by handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
- Assist in the care of the surgical patient.
- Handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
- Understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
- Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
- Maintain constant vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field.
- Follow instructions of Physicians and RN closely, adhering to established hospital policies related to the Operating Room.
- Practice Standard Precautions at all times.
- Maintain a safe environment in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory agencies.
- Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 35lbs.
- Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking.
- Certified Surgical Technician required.
- Surgical patient care.
- Surgical instruments.
- Surgical supplies.
- Surgical equipment.
- Operative procedure.
- Certified Surgical Technician.
