Lead Host/Hostess

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Lead Host/Hostess to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. The Lead Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting and welcoming guests according to Forbes' standards for hotel dining and reservations, providing an exemplary introduction to the Bloom & Bee restaurant as well as leading the team of hostess in their role duties.

Responsibilities include maintaining expert knowledge of restaurant operations, training and onboarding new hostesses, managing and optimizing reservation systems, overseeing menu updates, coordinating with events teams, organizing seating arrangements, ensuring cleanliness and stock of menus and front-of-house areas, monitoring dining room operations, and upholding performance excellence standards.

Qualifications include a minimum of two years' experience preferred in a 5-star hotel setting, working knowledge of Open Table and other data tracking tools, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform side work duties. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Physical demands include the ability to carry a tray up to 25lbs of food or dirty dishes and standing for prolonged periods of time.
